Active Travel Masterplan Consultation. CLOSED
Added at 08:29 on 27 May 2021
Have your say on the Active Travel Masterplans in the Inner Moray Firth area.
The consultation is open from 17 May 2021 until 12 July 2021.
In Spring 2020 Highland Council consulted about plans to apply to SUSTRANS for money to enforce Covid restrictions in Nairn which entailed removing all parking on the town centre streets and cordoning off sections of roadway.
NWSCC felt that the money could be much better used to encourage and sign active travel routes through and around the town. A meeting with Council Officials was held in July and routes finalised, but since then HC has not progressed the plans.
However the report which was drawn up is still very relevant and it would be the basis of our submission to this Active Travel Masterplan Consultation , hopefully with additional comments from members of the public who would like to add to our suggestions. click here to read the Covid-19 and Active Travel: Submission from Nairn West and Suburban Community Council (Spring 2020).
