Nairn West & Suburban Community Council Interim Election.  [Now closed]

applications close at 12 noon on 1st February.

 

Nairn West and Suburban Community Council are looking for several new members to represent their area.  

Over the last couple of years issues acted on include A96 by pass, road junction hazards, speeding, overgrown paths, closed or dilapidated toilets and the whereabouts of developer contributions. 

We’ve also commented on planning applications, the Nairn Common Good, Inner Moray Firth LDP, and Active Travel proposals. In the near future we will be participating in the New Academy discussions, Town Centre regeneration and a Local Place Plan.

If you feel you would like to contribute to this very important work, have a knowledge and love of the area and a willingness to work for a fairer share of spending and more say in the decisions affecting our town then please consider standing.

Application forms and guidance notes are available from the Highland Council website (Google HC Community Council Elections) and applications close at 12 noon on 1st February.  The paperwork has to be submitted to Lewis Hannah, Ward Manager for Nairn and the required details are in the guidance notes.
