NWSCC Not Established in Council Elections

The Highland Council issued the notification on 4th October that the total number of validly nominated candidates for the NWSCC elections was less than the minimum number required and declared that the Community Council will not be established. Five valid nominations were made but the minimum number of nominations is six. There will be a second attempt in January 2024 to try to form the Community Council. In the meantime, in agreement with the Ward Manager, the five nominees will meet as a Community Group to make sure that the current issues continue to be addressed.
