Nairnshire Community Newspaper Public Meeting

Over 140 members of the public attended the meeting on 16 November to introduce the Nairnshire Community Newspaper initiative. Cllr Michael Green opened the event with some introductory remarks followed by a slide presentation, linked here, to inform the audience of the work that has been done to date and some commentary on the opportunities and challenges likely to be faced. A Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation (SCIO) application has been filed (registration is expected around February 2024) and a constitution for the organisational structure drafted. The evening concluded with a Q&A session and a call-out for people with an interest in being involved, preferably with some relevant skills, to join the sterring team.
